Campsite “Berenkuil” is situated in the national Brook and Village landscape which lies in the basin of the “Drentsche Aa” river and is part of the National Park area.Take your bike ! The national Brook and Village landscape “Drentsche Aa” is one of its kind. You will find woods and dessert-like terrain, but also tiny streams flowing through the wet grassland full of orchids. Cycle through the beautiful village of Rolde with its handsome gothic church and inviting terraces. Or the medieval village of Borger where the largest chambered tomb in Drenthe can be found.   Drink a cup of coffee at the reading table in the sitting room, or a beer and a meal on the terrace. The children can romp for hours in the Bears Wood or in the partially covered playground and the swimming lake. They can also often be found in the Bears Stronghold on the waters’ edge when they are not off on a treasure hunt or baking bread with the enthusiastic animation team. During the high season there are performances every evening in the open air theatre which appeal to both young and old.
